The staff here was nice and knowledgeable. The concierge suggested us a dim sum restaurant 9 blocks from the hotel for some brunch BUT it wasn't opened and we had to walk all the way there to find out that it wasn't opened yet. That was a bit annoying.
Anyways, this is honestly the smallest room I have ever been in. I didn't even know that hotels had TWIN SIZE BEDS in their rooms. The room was probably no bigger than 250 square feet. Ridiculous I tell you! The bathroom is the size of my hand. You can't even move around without knocking something over. Even though this hotel looks spacious downstairs, the upstairs is definitely NOT.
The room we stayed in consisted of;
-2 twin size beds (which were pretty comfy)
-lots of extra blankets and pillows which was nice
-a desk with a chair
-night stand with a telephone and alarm clock
-an arm chair
-a really, really old TV which did not have good quality at all.
and we also discovered trash in the corner/under the bed. I.e Wheat thin box, candy wrappers etc. Tons of dust, yuck.
I felt really claustrophobic in this room.
Overall, this place is REALLY old. The staff provides great services. Housecleaning is not up to par because we found a bunch of trash in our room! The rooms are really cramped. It's in a pretty good location though and across the hotel is a parking garage that charges $29 dollars for all day parking..cheaper than the ho it's tel's price. The design and decor downstairs is nice but upstairs and in the hallways..filled with old paintings and dirty, old carpet (gross.)

Stayed here last night, even though I live a few blocks a way. Long story. I'll tell you later if you manage to get me drunk. Anyway, here's my rushed review:
Yes, this place is old, but charming it ain't. Picture this: a graceful one-hundred year old hotel with beautiful wainscoting, victorian clawfoot tubs, vintage chandeliers, and a retro dumbwaitor. Now strip most of that away, add Home Depot, and ta da! King George Hotel.
The room was clean and adequate but made for a hobbit. Tiny doors, tiny bathroom, tiny pillows. Walls were thin and at 6:30 in the morning, I could hear a "ShamWow" commercial in some other room. Not my idea of a soothing wake-up call.
The TV reception was clear, but that damn remote is impossible to use, so bring DVDs. Wi-fi was free, but also sloooooooooooooow.
Oh, beware the spiral staircase. It's crazy ridiculously narrow and makes you feel like you're gonna fall down at any minute. Talk about Vertigo!
