Bulgaria is a country in Eastern Europe, situated south of Romania. The capital Sofia is one of the oldest capital cities in Europe. Bulgaria has changed considerably in the last decade, and in 2007, it became a member of the EU.

Bulgaria has a number of beaches popular with tourists along the Black Sea coastline. The ski season keeps tourists visiting in the winter season. In total, Bulgaria attracts around 5 millions visitors each year.
